Audio Naat Formats - MP3 - WMA - WAV

I have observed many questions from naat users i.e

What is the best format for naat ?
Is naat in mp3 format best ?
What is the differance between mp3 and other formats ?

So i thought to write a little blog about best choice of naat formats. First of all we must have an idea about different popular audio formats.

What is MP3 ?
The name of the file extension and also the name of the type of file for MPEG , audio layer 3. Layer 3 is one of three coding schemes (layer 1, layer 2 and layer 3) for the compression of audio signals.

Because MP3 files are small, they can easily be transferred across the Internet and this is the biggest advantage of MP3

What is WMA ?
WMA is an audio file format developed by Microsoft (www.microsoft.com), the maker of Windows Media Player. It may not be as popular as MP3, but it is still supported by a vast number of players and jukeboxes, including Winamp, Sonique, MusicMatch and J. River's Media Jukebox.

What is WAV ?
Waveform Audio (.wav) is a common file format. Created by Microsoft and IBM, WAV was one of the first audio file types developed for the PC. WAV files are defined as lossless, meaning that files are large and complete; nothing has been lost. Professionally recorded CDs are also a lossless audio source.

Now naat users can easily decide the best naat format. I personally like naats in mp3 format as mp3 files are about one-twelfth the size of orignal file. This is why MP3 players can accommodate hundreds of songs on a tiny chunk of storage space.
